This is a completely non-profit venture for the public good solely for the purpose of sharing a concept that may reduce healthcare costs and increase productivity for business across America.

Each year US industry loses billions of dollars in lost productivity…one of the key reasons? Employees call out sick.

Each year US citizens pay billions in healthcare, doctor visits, over the counter and prescription medications…obviously because people get sick.

At the cost of absolutely nothing to anyone, if productivity could be increased and healthcare costs reduced, would that make sense?

We propose to promote the “official” American handshake. The touching of a closed fist, knuckle to knuckle. The same one American pro and amateur baseball players use, American and pro football players, pro golfers and their caddies and everyday knuckleheads like you and us. The Japanese bow, why can’t America have its own style of greeting? What better than the old knuckle handshake already part of the American sports landscape?

We take no credit for its invention.

Donald Trump refuses to shake hands. Why? He doesn’t want to contract an illness.

Howie Mandel (Deal or No Deal) refuses to shake hands. Why?  He doesn’t want to contract an illness.

  • Will this stop the spread of all disease? No!
  • Will it eliminate all healthcare costs? No!

BUT, what if it helps 2% or 5% or 10 % Not bad for a freebee.

Can it reduce employee absenteeism? We think so. Will it reduce the spread of disease in the business community where everyone greets each other with a handshake (possibly covered with cold and flu germs)? We think so.

Will it increase productivity by reducing employee absenteeism? We think so.

Does it cost anyone anything? NO

So here’s the bottom line. A freebee. No special interest groups, no increased taxes, no cost to anyone. Just a simple change in how we shake hands.

We spend millions of dollars a day on inoculation and vaccination programs, millions on education for safe sex, millions on clinical trials and research, on and on and on. And we don’t suggest a departure from these, however if something as simple as changing a handshake can improve the way Americans live, maybe we could give it a try?

We just ask each and every one to spread the word. Maybe a senator or congressman, a famous movie actor, sports figures would like to join the program. Nothing official just spread the word.

Keep it alive!

Thanks!!
